Funded training programmes must involve three parties. A Learner, an Employer and a Training Provider. For purposes of this project Adventure Qualifications Network will act as the Training Provider, and your company will be the Employer. The role of the employer is to provide real workplace experience for the Learner, mentor Learners and oversee their progress according to your own company procedures. As the Learner probably already works for you, you are doing this already. There are Tax incentives for taking part in such programmes, but more of that later. Funding will be paid to you as the Employer and you then pay the training provider as agreed between us.
We must stress that there is no reason an employer cannot make this application to CATHSSETA directly themselves. You are not bound to work with AQN, but having done this 5 times now, we are well aware of the pitfalls and hurdles that need to be overcome.
The info required is quite long and will probably take 10 minutes to half an hour to complete. You can save drafts at any time and come back to it later. It’s Government funding after all so expect long forms. This info is exactly the same as would be asked on the official paper version of the form. Doing it this way allows us to transfer the info automatically saving us all time and effort.
